The whereabouts of this crayon drawing, which originally belonged to Watts-Dunton, are unknown. It was said to be an illustration of a story by Watts-Dunton (“The Prisoner's Daughter”), but as Marillier points out, this could not have been the original purpose of the 1870 drawing, since DGR and Watts-Dunton's acquaintance dates from 1872.
