I'm not the greatest Ibsen fan, but reading Jane's letters she loved the theatre (William didn't and she seems to have gone with others) and this play which she saw in 1890/1 interests me as it was translated into English by Eleanor Marx Aveling, (daughter of Karl Marx) and published by Fisher Unwin in 1890. Apart from the theatre Jane loved music and played the piano well.
