how Jane flattered Blunt
[SW1, Buckingham Gate, 15]
In case you ever wondered how Jane flattered Blunt, a little letter she wrote:
My dear Mr. Blunt Thanks for the little poem - I've read many times, and I like more and more. I find the most beautiful and pathetic, as rhythmic and fluid that I've memorized, something strange for me, since I have no good memory for poetry in general. Hope you do not forget to send more as soon as I have time to copy them, it gives me great pleasure to have a glimpse of any of the things you do, and I love poetry itself; (it) also reawakens in me the old interest in things that had been considered dead for me. I thank you all with all my heart and I will be affected always his.
(Your) friend Jane Morris
bad call, Jane.
