May Morris bust by Jo Davidson
May travelled to America on tour mainly to lecture on her Fatherin 1909-10. She met and fell in love with John Quinn. Quinn had a bust of May commissioned from the sculptor Jo Davidson in 1910. May thought it made her look too haggard and ten years older. It went back to England with her in a small box to her house in Hammersmith Terrace where it later went to Emrys Walker's house a few doors away.
